Full Professor of Hydraulic and marine contructions and hydrology [ICAR/02]

Full Professor of Hydraulic Constructions and Hydrology at UNICT (University of Catania, Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture, DICAR) since year 1987. Current lecturer of the course “Hydraulic and Maritime Constructions” and “Applied Hydrology” at UNICT. Past lecturer of "Hydraulic" at the University of Reggio Calabria, of "Hydraulic Construction" at the University of Messina and past lecturer of "Hydraulic" at UNICT. Past member of the teaching staff of the Doctoral Program in "Hydraulic Engineering", at UNICT. Presently member of the teaching staff Doctoral Program in "Environmental Risk Assessment and Mitigation", UNICT. Past chairman of the Laurea Council in "Civil Engineering", UNICT. Past member of the Directive Staff of the "Centro Studi Idraulica Urbana(CSDU)", member of the "Associazione Idrotecnica Italiana" and past member of the "Real Time Control Group" of IWA-IAHR International Association. Past co-ordinator and partecipant of the local research unit of many national research projects and of University of Catania research projects. Author of more than 100 scientific papers and concerning: storm water flow in sewer systems; u manual chapter nsteady flow processes; intense rain; evaluation of design storm flow; storm water tanks, real time control of water supply networks, urban drainage systems; sediments in reservoirs; sediments in sewers and rivers. Reviewer for international journals and international conferences and research consultant for municipalities and other public institutions.
