The course aims to provide advanced knowledge on the behavior of static and dynamic soil by physical, analytical and numerical modeling. Main constitutive models implemented and / or to be implemented in FEM, FDM (etc) codes are shown. The fundamentals for the study of the seismic local site response and liquefaction phenomena are also provided.
Frontal lessons also through Power Point presentations. Seminars in collaboration with geotechnical company and/or engineers. Exercises in the classroom.
