The research activity is mainly developed within th efield of Computational Mechanics of solids and structures. Among the main interests are the development of innovative methods of isogeometric analysis of polar and non polar structural models, advanced problems of form fiding, the mechanics of solids with damage and with discontinuities due to fracture, the study of multiphysics phenomena, the non lnear analysis of geoemtrical and material non loinear systems, elastic-plastic systems oin small anmd large deformation. Presetnly a large part of the ativity concerns the design and numerical simulation of metamaterials and microstructured materials by means of homogenization techniques and the application of non standard material models.
The research activity has produces over 200 publications in international journal, national and international conferences.
