Expected Learning Outcomes

The student must know the principles of orthogonal projections, sections, axonometric projections, perspective projections of the building blocks of architecture, such as roofs, stairs, vaults, etc.

Course Structure

Teaching takes place through frontal theoretical lessons that are composed of explanatory graphic constructions. The student is required to draw in the classroom, in some personal graphic tables, what the teacher shows in the lessons. The process takes place under the supervision of the teacher. At the end of the lesson the work carried out is delivered to the teacher who checks the degree of advancement, then the graphic tvaola is returned during the course of the lesson. The student then must eventually complete the graphic table.

Required Prerequisites

Knowledge of elementary graphic constructions with ruler and compasses performed in secondary and primary school.

Detailed Course Content

Orthogonal projections (generality, P.O of the point, of the line and of the plane, of objects ...)

Axonometric projections

Orthogonal and axonometric projections of: barrel vaulting, cross vaulting, sailing, mirroring even with intersections of objects.

Roof geometry (plans, elevations and sections)

The representation of a vertical connection: the stairs.

The representation scales.

The perspective

Learning Assessment

Learning Assessment Procedures

Verification of learning takes place by checking the graphic tables delivered by the student at the end of the lesson, and by means of two checks in the classroom in the presence that will be evaluated.

- graphic solution of the plan of a constant slope roof, elevations, sections.

- perspective of figures and objects in space and in the geometric plane, with the various methods.
