Giovanni CELANO

Associate Professor of Manufacturing technology and systems [IIND-04/A]

Giovanni Celano is an Associate Professor in the scientific-disciplinary sector 09/IIND-04 "Manufacturing Technologies and Systems" at the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering, University of Catania. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1998 and earned a Ph.D. in Production Engineering from the University of Palermo in 2003. He teaches in the Bachelor's programs in Civil, Environmental and Management Engineering (L-7), Industrial Engineering (L-9), and in the Master's program in Management Engineering (LM-31). Since 2023, he has also been teaching the "Quality Control Techniques" module in the MBA program at the University of Piraeus (Greece). His research focuses on the implementation of innovative methodologies for quality control in industrial and service contexts. He is the author of approximately 130 scientific publications, with an h-index of 33 and 2690 citations (source: SCOPUS). He currently serves as Department Delegate for Quality.
