Learning Objectives
- URBAN PLANNING LAW
The class aims to examine in depth legal themes tied to territorial administration, with special reference to legal sources of urban planning law, to the fundamentals of city planning system and to the authorizing measures framework. Legal sources, basic principles of Italian Constitution and rules for the exercise of State and Regional legislative power are part of the course. The class aspires to the comprehension of legal principles of territorial administration and city planning system, together with the interference profiles between urban planning and environment and property protection.
Ultimately, the course also includes an attachment on public procurement law, dealing with the analysis of the Italian public tenders system and the identification of the involved subjects.
- URBAN GEOGRAPHY AND SOCIOLOGY
The class intends to: - provide interpretative tools for the territorial processes which are typical of the capitalistic age; - give information about the evolution of the concept of sustainable development; - transmit knowledge of world natural environment and of changes which took place from 1960s in urban areas, that are often the reason of development unsustainability; - verify the human ecological answer on the urban environment and understand the current urban planning policies.
