ENERGY MANAGEMENT

This course covers the fundamental principles and policies used in energy management. Students will learn the importance of monitoring and controlling energy consumption in industry competitions and how to develop and implement energy management programs and conduct energy audits. The course deals with the efficiency of industrial technologies and those for the air conditioning of systems. Particular attention will be given to energy management systems and their implementation following the ISO 50001 system as a model.

Lectures will be given in classroom or, if conditions would require it, they will be available on-line or in mixed modality.

Students must attend at least 70% of the course lectures. It is mandatory the subscription to the course on the webpage on studium.unict.it.

Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.

Learning assessment may also be carried out on line, should the conditions require it.
