Cettina SANTAGATI

Cettina Santagati, building engineer. She is an associate professor at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the University of Catania. In 2003, she obtained a Ph.D. in Design and Survey of Existing Heritage. She is a member of the Architectural Photogrammetry and Survey Laboratory "Luigi Andreozzi" and the head of the Survey, Representation, and Digital Reconstruction Laboratory at the Representation Museum of the University of Catania. She is responsible for the Erasmus+ Capacity Building project ARTEST (Enhancing Education Programs in Arts and Humanities via EU STEM Methods) at the University of Catania, coordinated by the University of Cologne.

She is involved in several national projects on 3D digitization and the enhancement of cultural heritage and museum collections. She is a member of the Technical-Scientific Committee of the Italian Scientific Drawing Association (UID). She is also a member of the PhD Board in Evaluation and Mitigation of Urban and Territorial Risks at the University of Catania. She is part of the Editorial Board of the journal Dienne. She is a member of the advisory board of the Erasmus+ CB project "CREAMS: Scaffolding Creativity of Arts Students: Framework, Toolchain, and Educational Material on How to Create their Own Virtual Exhibitions."

Her research interests focus on: Acquisition, modeling, and 3D reconstruction from urban to architectural scale, H-BIM, Virtual Museums.
