Career Opportunities

The engineer for ecological transition contributes to the design and development of solutions that can make materials, products, and production systems more energy-efficient in order to reduce their environmental impact, in line with energy and ecological transition goals. The application domain ranges from energy managers, renewable energy experts, to professionals capable of assessing the environmental impact of materials, products, and manufacturing technologies. Furthermore, the engineer for ecological transition is able to assess the environmental impact from the perspective of environmental economics and implement measures for its containment. A crucial skill is a strong understanding of issues related to all aspects of mechanical, energy, electrical, materials engineering, and safety and industrial protection engineering that characterize the industrial world, especially those with high energy intensity.

Graduates of the Bachelor's Degree will be trained to fill the professional roles of technicians or Junior Engineers, a title that is granted to those registered in section B of the professional engineering register, subject to passing the relevant state examination.

The main employment opportunities are in service and manufacturing companies, companies producing equipment, components, and electrical and thermal machines, enterprises and bodies for the production, transmission, and distribution of energy from traditional energy sources and, especially, innovative, renewable, and low environmental impact ones.
