Verifica dell'attività svolta e Ammissione al II anno

Data: Entro la fine del primo anno.

Obiettivo: Valutazione della Proposta di Tesi e del progresso della ricerca ai fini dell’ammissione al II anno.

Azioni dello studente

1. Predisporre la Relazione di Fine Anno secondo lo schema proposto. La relazione deve essere concordata, controllata e firmata dal supervisore di tesi.

La relazione dovrà contenere:

• l’attività formativa-didattica svolta;
• gli approfondimenti e ricerche bibliografiche del tema di tesi concordato con il supervisore di tesi (raccolta della letteratura esistente sul tema);
• un inquadramento della problematica che si sta trattando (stato dell’arte sul tema scelto); 
• gli obiettivi generali della tesi, evidenziandone ove possibile le metodologie che si intendono applicare, sviluppare o approfondire durante il secondo anno di dottorato, ivi comprese le ricerche di campo e/o di laboratorio, lo sviluppo di modelli o software di nuova concezione necessari per raggiungere gli obbiettivi prima definiti.  Normalmente una buona descrizione dello stato dell’arte sulla tematica di ricerca scelta (anche se non perfettamente completa) costituisce di per sé un capitolo della tesi di dottorato, quello dedicato all’introduzione ed alla descrizione dello stato dell’arte; 
• eventuali attività di disseminazione.

1. Inviare la Relazione, in formato elettronico e controfirmata dal Tutor, al Coordinatore del Dottorato.

Predisporre una breve presentazione sintetica (max 5 minuti) da illustrare al Collegio dei Docenti. 

Admission to the Second Year

Verification of Activities and Admission to Year II.

Date: By the end of the first year.

Objective: Evaluation of the Thesis Proposal and research progress for admission to the second year.

Student Actions

Prepare the End-of-Year Report following the provided template. The report must be agreed upon, reviewed, and signed by the thesis supervisor.

The report must include:

• The educational and training activities carried out;
• In-depth studies and bibliographic research on the thesis topic agreed with the supervisor (collection of existing literature on the topic);
• A framework of the issue being addressed (state of the art on the chosen topic);
• The general objectives of the thesis, highlighting, where possible, the methodologies intended to be applied, developed, or explored during the second year of the PhD, including field and/or laboratory research, development of new models or software necessary to achieve the previously defined objectives. A well-developed description of the state of the art on the chosen research topic (even if not fully complete) typically constitutes a chapter of the PhD thesis, specifically the introduction and literature review chapter;
• Any dissemination activities.

Submit the report in electronic format, countersigned by the supervisor, to the PhD Program Coordinator.

Prepare a brief summary presentation (max 5 minutes) to be presented to the Academic Board.
