Awarding of Training and Research Credits
The three-year programme comprises 180 credits, divided as follows:
- at least 45 ECTS credits for training courses and seminars, conference activities, specific personal study activities, applied research activities in companies or research bodies in Italy or abroad, experimental activities in the laboratory or in the field, tutoring, supplementary teaching, third-mission activities, and passing end-of-year examinations;
- 135 credits for the development of the doctoral thesis.
At the end of each year, at the same time as submitting the end-of-year report for admission to the following year, the doctoral student submits a summary of the training activities undertaken, approved by the tutor and accompanied by a quantification of the credits acquired, as determined by the tutor.
